Day 1 of Forestry Expo got underway today (Thursday 22nd August) at Little Clyde, Elvanfoot.

Despite heavy rain in the previous 24 hours, the expo site is bearing up well,  with trackway in the alleys meaning it is largely dry underfoot.

Event organiser Martin Dare commented “It was great to open the gates at 0900 this morning and welcome our first visitors and then the steady stream of visitors all morning.”

“Our tradestands all seem busy and the shuttle bus taking visitors up to the live harvesting demo area is in great demand.”

“We look forward to welcoming many more visitors this afternoon and of course, for day 2, tomorrow.”
